Ferguson is where I fell in love with teaching. The moment I stepped foot in the building to begin my first day of student teaching, I knew there was nowhere else I wanted to be. It was exceptional in every way. The faculty and staff were so welcoming to me. If it wasn’t for many of them, I don’t know that I would have survived my first year. That’s what Titans do. They lift each other up. I have never seen a faculty so supportive of one another. It is a beautiful thing. The students and families at Ferguson are extraordinary. They are the cream of the crop. Working with them made me excited to get up and go to work every day. I felt like they were my family. It was my dream job. I was deeply saddened to leave Ferguson to stay home with my children, but not as saddened as I was to find out the school was closing. Ferguson has definitely left its mark. Titan for life!
