Lately, I have realized that next year will be here before most of us realize it. I can’t believe that this year will be a final school year for Ferguson Junior High. Yes, I have that bitter sweet feeling; yet, on the bright side I still have 160 days to be with all of you until the final day. This year marks my thirteenth year with Ferguson and I am proud to be a member of Ferguson family. During those thirteen years of teaching at Ferguson, I have so many fond memories. It has been a privilege to know and work with some of the most amazing teachers anywhere. You have all become role models for me.
As most of you all know, I have a new challenge in my life. I am living with that challenge day by day. Since school started this year, every morning I set a daily goal before I come to work. My goal is to remind myself that it will be great day. Also, I have tried to have a positive attitude towards my students and the faculty and try to have a fun with them. My daily goals are usually small things like remembering a student’s name with the correct pronunciation, building a respectful relationship with the students, keeping my chin up, and most importantly not forgetting to smile throughout day.
So far it has been great school year! I am hopeful that this final year will be a productive one at Ferguson. By the way, I would like to say to everyone that you guys are a group of special and caring people. You inspire me not to give up when times are difficult. I sincerely appreciate your encouragement and support. No matter what the future holds next year, you will be part of my life and my family forever. You guys rock!!!
